Minda Files signs a PDF online, in your browser: open the PDF, choose Signature, draw, type or upload your signature, click where it goes and download the signed PDF. Nothing is uploaded, so the PDF never reaches a server, and it is free with no account.

How to sign a PDF online

  1. Drop the PDF on the page, or press Choose a file.
  2. Choose Signature in the toolbar, then draw your signature, type your name or upload a picture of your signature.
  3. Click where it goes on the page; drag it to move it, or drag a corner to resize it.
  4. Download the signed PDF: the button reads Download signed copy.
  • Your signature drawn with a mouse, pen or finger in black or blue ink, typed in a handwriting face, or uploaded as a photo or scan of your signature on light paper, whose paper is made clear.
  • Kept for next time a signature you save is kept in your browser for the next PDF, and never sent anywhere.
  • A picture, not a certificate the signature is placed on the page as a picture; it is not a certificate-based digital signature.

How do I sign a PDF online for free?

Open the PDF in Minda Files, choose Signature, draw, type or upload your signature, click where it goes and download the signed copy. It is free and needs no account.

Can I sign a PDF without printing it?

Yes. Place your signature on the PDF itself and download it: there is nothing to print or scan.

Can I sign a PDF with a picture of my signature?

Yes. Choose Upload and pick a photo or scan of your signature on light paper: its paper is made clear, so only the ink shows on the page.

Can I sign a PDF that is locked against changes?

A PDF that opens with no password but forbids editing, like many forms, opens and takes your signature, and the PDF you download has no lock. One that asks for a password to open is refused: take the password off in the program that made it first.

Is Minda Files free?

Yes. Every tool and the editor are free, with no account needed. Signed out, files open up to 10 MB; signed in on the free plan, up to 50 MB; the Files plan and Pro open files up to 256 MB.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The tools and the editor run online in your browser; your file is not sent to a server. Only Ask AI sends what you ask, and the text of the file it needs, to Minda AI.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Minda Files works in your web browser: open the page, drop a file and it opens there.
