Minda Files turns a NotebookLM slide deck into an editable PowerPoint in your browser: download the deck from NotebookLM as a PDF, drop it here, and each page becomes a slide whose words Minda AI reads into text boxes you can change. Pictures and charts stay in the slide’s picture. Reading the pages needs a free account and Minda AI credits.
How to turn NotebookLM slides into PowerPoint
- In NotebookLM, open the notebook’s Studio panel, make or open the Slide deck and download it from its menu: the deck comes as a PDF.
- Drop that PDF on this page. Editable text and Read picture pages with Minda AI are already on; sign in if you are not (it is free).
- Press Convert to PowerPoint, then download the .pptx or press Open in editor to change the slides here.
- Check the words Minda AI read against each slide: the result’s note says how many pages it read.
- Why a PDF NotebookLM’s slide deck downloads as a PDF whose pages are pictures, so a plain converter gets slides with no text to edit. Minda AI reads each page’s words and places them as text boxes where they stood, in their colour.
- What Minda AI reads each slide’s picture is sent to Minda AI, signed in, on your credits; at most 40 pages a run, so split a longer deck first. The rest of the work, and the .pptx, stay in your browser.
- Not affiliated Minda Files is not affiliated with Google, NotebookLM, Gamma or Canva: it converts the PDF they export.
Questions
How do I get my NotebookLM slide deck into PowerPoint?
Download the deck from NotebookLM as a PDF, drop it on this page and press Convert to PowerPoint: each page becomes a slide with its words as text boxes Minda AI read, in a .pptx that PowerPoint opens.
Why are the slides from NotebookLM pictures?
NotebookLM exports its deck as a PDF of page pictures, with no text inside to take. With Read picture pages with Minda AI on, Minda AI reads the words off each picture and makes them text boxes; without it, each slide is the page as a picture.
Does this work for Gamma and Canva decks exported as PDF?
Yes. A Gamma or Canva deck exported as PDF converts the same way: pages with text inside become editable at once, and pages that are pictures are read by Minda AI when the option is on.
Can I open the result in Google Slides?
Yes. Upload the .pptx to Google Drive and open it with Google Slides, which turns it into a Slides presentation; PowerPoint, Keynote and Canva open it too.
Is the deck sent anywhere?
The PDF is not uploaded: it is read, and the .pptx written, in your browser. With Read picture pages with Minda AI on, each picture page is sent to Minda AI to read, which needs a free account and credits.
Is Minda Files free?
Yes. Every tool and the editor are free, with no account needed. Signed out, files open up to 10 MB; signed in on the free plan, up to 50 MB; the Files plan and Pro open files up to 256 MB.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tools and the editor run online in your browser; your file is not sent to a server. Only Ask AI sends what you ask, and the text of the file it needs, to Minda AI, and PDF to PowerPoint a picture page only when you turn on Read picture pages with Minda AI.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Minda Files works in your web browser: open the page, drop a file and it opens there.
